- Reviewed in the United States on April 10, 2023Worked the first time. Got things set up. Went to use it again and it won't work. Amazon would not take it back as it was at its 90 day return window.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 3, 2023Can’t change the password that it had on it
- Reviewed in the United States on November 2, 2022I got this thinking I could possibly just hang it on a lanyard as a body cam as it's much cheaper and seemingly better quality than most body cams out there. I saw it has the little eyelet on it and figured it'd be easy to hang from my neck but sadly this won't function without being slid into it's base part. It makes it a bit bulky to carry for what I needed. Not impossible but I wish there was an option to use it without the base part it slides into. If you want to carry it with you- you'll pretty much have to get an action cam mount and attach this to it.
All of that being said, the picture is pretty good on this, setup was easy, I can make out car tag numbers as they go by so it focuses pretty well. No other complaints on it other than it has to be in it's thing to work, other than that it's perfect and I love it!
- Reviewed in the United States on March 3, 2023It fell off on the highway and was crushed in traffic. The mount has a plastic piece which cannot withstand motorcycle vibrations over time. I kinda liked it until then but it is a bad flaw and I’m left with nothing after just 2 weeks!
- Reviewed in the United States on October 20, 2022I wanted this camera to replace my gopro for trail rides. My Hero 8 works really well but the battery life is pretty bad and this has a much larger battery. I knew I was giving up some resolution but that's fine because I mostly want it sort of as a dashcam. Unfortunately this falls short.
Pros
* Built in battery with really good battery life. Got 9hrs on a single battery.
* Can change while recording so you can extend recording time
* Good quality mount with rubber insert
* Camera itself feels very well made
* Main mount accepts gopro mounts
* Rubber boot on card slot
* 64GB HP microsd included
* Sony sensor
* Compact form factor for a 3200mah battery
* Efficient recording even for h264. I'm a bit over 50% usage on the included card with 9 hours recorded in mixed conditions.
* Looping video recording
* Good FOV
Cons
* Video not stabilized. As far as I can tell there is no hardware or software OIS employed on the camera itself.
* Not a single button on the camera.
* The app is to setup is very sparse. Not many features/settings.
* No GPS.
* 2.4ghz wifi
* No bluetooth
There isn't a single button on this camera. You turn it on by putting it into the mount. Would like to see an optional power/record button for handheld use. Maybe an event/trigger button. I do like the auto record when put into the mount but would prefer if it wasn't the only option. The video itself is pretty muted colorwise with no other color options. Given it's not an action camera like the Gopro I give it a pass on the lack of HDR. The lack of video stabilization on the other hand is a pretty big oversight. The mount itself is rubberized which helps alleviate some of the shocks but this seems to be the only thing being done to mitigate shaky video. I took it trail riding and the slightest bumps the entire video is a wavy mess even with the suspension on soft. Even on paved surfaces it was bad. The Gopro on the same mount actually gives you useable footage until you hit hard bumps. Outside of bikes with super soft suspensions on really flat roads I'm not seeing how you get good video out of this. Without optical hardware stabilization on the lens you are limited on fixes but a software fix could at least make this usable. I looked on the website and app and couldn't find any new firmware. I can overlook a lot of the missing features and lack of 4k at this price point but I can't overlook bad shaky video. This is really a shame given how well made the whole camera/mount package feels and how good battery life is. I will update the review if a new firmware is put out with a fix but as is I can't recommend it with this video quality.
The app itself connects with wifi only. This means even if you only want to change a setting you have to connect to wifi which drops cell service. For people who stream music/audio this can be annoying. The app has live view, time zone, mic enable, 1 or 3 minute clips, ability to format SD card, change wifi password, "tilt calibration" and recordings view/download. It also shows MPH/KPH setting and speed watermark but given that GPS isn't advertised anywhere and this setting fails anytime you try to toggle it I believe it's left over from another camera. There is no info on battery percentage. No longer clip option, no h265 option, no color option, no resolution settings, no framerate settings, no exposure option, no shutter rate option, no white balance option, no firmware update/check option. The camera is only 2.4ghz wifi. Downloading a 260MB 3 minute clip took over 8 minutes. Pulling the SD card is much faster. I'd recommend it for the live view to lock in your mount and not much else.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 29, 2022I like this camera overall.
It is more of a documentation camera, by that I mean it captures a wide angle and is a good crisp clear image with some shaking.
This camera only operates when it is in its mount, so you can not accidentally turn it on or off, in the mount on and out of the mount is off.
It records in a loop so you never miss anything.
For documenting your ride and protecting yourself legally I would recommend this camera no question.
For video you can make in to something more this is not for you.
I would buy it again.

On the software I found it to be less than expected in functionality. I have to have the camera mounted on the bike to access the videos and even then they are stored on the device so it takes time and lag to scroll through them. It isn't easy to identify the right video since they are just sequential 3min segments all strung together without any way to see the whole ride as one sequence. I have a Nexar dashcam for my car and the user interface is so different and so much easier to use when scrolling back in time.
I'll leave this on my bike for now because it does capture video and run a continuous loop so at least I'm documenting my rides even if the ability to use that video isn't really the best.
3.0 out of 5 starsI have included video and some screenshots for reference on my comments. I used this for an entire day on a group ride with some friends. I found the install and set up to be pretty easy and actually like the way the camera powers up when inserted in the mount. I wish however that there was an external power button but that didn't matter since the battery lasted all day long and was not an issue. On the camera performance let the video speak for itself. I have used my cell phone to record video before and the sound, image stabilization, and overall quality are similarly not well suited for motorcycle recording. The wind noise alone was terrible and the shaking image was not related to the mount, it was as solid as can be.Needs improvement to tech and to software
